How to take photos of your items
Staging your items to sell
Here's a few tips for staging your items to sell. You want to place your item in front of a plain background; a floor, a blanket, or you can place your item on a hanger and display it in front of a blank wall. The simpler background, the easier it will be for the potential buyer to see the item fully. Make sure you have good lighting that displays the product's color properly.
Matching Sets
When you have a matching set, it's nice to display it so you can see both items in the first image on the listing. If the back is different than the front (like in this example, the back has a few snaps) make sure to include that in another photo. You can even snap a few photos of each item on its own. The more photos, the better!
Bundles
When staging bundles, you'll want to include all the items in the first picture. Then you can take photos of each individual item in the bundle so shoppers could see what's included clearly. Bundles are great because you only pay for shipping once and get multiple items! It's also easier for the seller because you'll only have to ship one box. For bundles, include similar items (like in this example, they are all onesies!)
Single items
For single items, like this pair of pants, you'll want to make sure it is the only thing you can see in the photo. This way potential buyers can see very clearly what they are purchasing. Make sure you have good lighting to highlight what the color of the items are. You can include multiple photos if the back is different from the front.
